Fair Trading Act and Animal Welfare

Following demand from our successful Auckland seminar, NZALA is hosting a Wellington event on the Fair Trading Act and Animal Welfare.

Tickets are $15 for NZALA members ($30 for non-members)

More and more producers today make representations about the treatment of animals in the course of making their products. If you have ever wondered what standards “free-range” and meat products comply with, this seminar will be of particular interest to you.

Consumers and legal practitioners will gain insight into the application of the Fair Trading Act, its effect on producers, consumer protections and an overview of Commerce Commission investigations into misleading labelling and advertising of animal products in New Zealand.

This seminar features:

James Donkin, Barrister

James practices from Quay Chambers in Auckland and has particular expertise in regulatory investigations and proceedings.

Stuart Wallace

Stuart is the Head of Consumer at the Commerce Commission.

CPD compatible: 1.5 hours

As there are limited places for this event, to purchase your tickets here.
