This privacy statement explains how and why we collect, use and share personal information from you and also how we store and protect it, and how you can access and correct it.We collect personal information from you directly, including information about your name, contact information and computer or network.

We collect your personal information in order to be able to communicate with you to provide information about our activities that might be of interest to you or, from time to time, with people who have shown interest in our organisation.

We will only ever share the minimum amount of personal information required to meet our purposes. If we can meet our purposes by sharing de-identified information, then we will.

We store all the personal information we collect or generate electronically on password-protected servers located in New Zealand and overseas.

We also store some personal information in hard copy, where necessary.We retain personal information only for as long as we have a lawful purpose to use it. When we no longer need to use it, we securely destroy it.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information or to have it corrected, please contact us at secretary@nzala.org
